[2024FW Limited Release vol.4] Herringbone printed corduroy

The last of the 2024 Limited Release Vol. 4 is a revival of the herringbone printed corduroy released by Post O'Alls in the early 2000s. This fabric is a 100% cotton corduroy with a herringbone print, which makes it look like herringbone tweed. Corduroy with prints became popular in the U.S. from the 1920s to the 1950s, and initially stood as a substitute for wool products such as tweed and homespun. As time went by, various variations of prints were developed, and in the 1950s, many variations such as atomic prints, which were popular at that time, were released, achieving a unique development. Around 2000, Post O'Alls fell in love with the rich taste, machine washability, and the fact that it was once extinct, and used it for a wide range of items such as coveralls, outerwear, pants, bags, etc. At the time, it was available in two colors, brown and brick, and now it is available in brown and an updated navy. 2024年リミテッド・リリースの最終となる第四弾は、Post O’Alls から2000年代初頭にリリースされていたヘリンボーン・プリントコーデュロイ・シリーズの復活になります。この生地は、コーデュロイにヘリンボーン柄のオーバープリントを施したもので、遠目にはヘリンボーン・ツイードに見えるというトリッキーなものとなっています。コーデュロイにプリントを施した生地はアメリカでは1920~50年代に人気を博し、当初はツイードやホームスパンなどのウール製品をミミック（模倣）したもの、という立ち位置でした。その後、時代を追うごとに様々なプリントのバリエーションが開発され、1940~50年代には当時の流行であったアトミックプリントや子供服向けの楽しいプリントなど独自の発展を遂げましたが、その後はマーケットから姿を消していきました。Post O’Allsでは初期製品の味わい深いテイストやウールと違って洗って着込める点、そして一時は絶滅していたという事実などに惚れ込んで2000年頃にカバーオールなどのアウターやパンツ、バッグ類など多岐に渡って採用しました。当時はブラウンとブリック（レンガ色）の２色で展開されましたが、今回はブラウンとネービーの２色を用意しました。リミテッド・リリース第四弾は、Post O’Allsの直営店及びオンラインストアのみの展開となります。
