The roots of the Royal Traveler are the Royal Hunter model, which debuted in 2003, and was a 1910s-1920s style vest with a long length and outerwear-like character. At the time, the model was sized so that it could actually be worn over outerwear, but later it gradually transitioned to a tighter fit so that it could be worn as innerwear. Royal Traveler has gone through many twists and turns, but from the 2022FW season, it has shifted in a larger direction again. The 2024SS brings back the basic looks of yesteryear, such as vintage calico and cotton/linen denim, which have been around for a long time.

The origin of the Royal Traveler can be traced back to the 2003 release of the Royal Hunter model, which is rooted in the 1910s-20s style of a long-length, outerwear-like vest. Initially designed with a roomy fit for wearing over outerwear , it has gradually evolved to be worn as an inner layer. Through its long journey, the Royal Traveler, for the 2022 FW collection has come to a relatively spacious fit. In the 2024 S/S collection, the item reverts to its fundamental form , crafted with vintage calico cotton-linen fabric.
