waxy taffeta（ワクシー・タフタ）について

バブアーなどのイギリス製品に代表されるようなワックスド・コットン素材は、ご存知のようにその独特のクラシックな雰囲気で根強いファンを獲得しています。Post O`Allsが採用しているワクシー・タフタは、ワックス加工を施したような外観を持つナイロン製の特殊素材です。ワックスが入っていないのでワックスド・コットン特有のベタつきや匂いはなく、ナイロン素材特有の防水／撥水性を持っています。通常のナイロンタフタよりやや厚手ですが、肌にまとわり付かないドライなテクスチャーを持っています。

The waxy taffeta featured in Post O’Alls items is a unique nylon fabric that mimics the appearance of a wax finish. But since it is not actually wax treated, it lacks the stickiness and odor typically associated with waxed cotton, while retaining the waterproof and water-repellent properties of nylon fabrics. This fabric is slightly thicker than out regular nylon taffeta but has a dry texture that doesn’t cling to your skin.
