BAGSINPROGRESS は、ニューヨークを拠点とするカジュアルバッグブランドです。
「in progress」には「進化の途上」「更新し続ける」という意味があります。
PCやiPhone、ソフトウェアが常にアップデートされるように、日常に最も近い存在であるバッグもまた、ライフスタイルや持ち物の変化に合わせて進化し続けるべきだと考えています。
無名のプロダクトデザインや、ニューヨークの地下鉄やストリートで人々が実際に使っている日常のバッグを観察し、インスピレーションを得ています。装飾ありきのデザインではなく、徹底的に無駄を省き、機能と用途から逆算することを軸に、サイズ感、ポケット配置、素材、仕様のすべてを設計しています。
タイムレスで長く使えるプロダクトを目指し、使う人それぞれのスタイルに自然に馴染み、使い込むほどにその利便性を実感できるバッグを提案しています。気づけば毎日の生活に欠かせない存在になっている——そんなバッグであることを目標としています。
すべてのアイテムはニューヨークで企画・デザインされ、アメリカおよび日本の老舗工場にて丁寧に生産されています。

BAGSINPROGRESS, a New York–based brand, will host a POP-UP STORE at Post O’Alls NAKAMEGURO, the flagship store of Post O’Alls, as well as on the ONLINE STORE.

BAGSINPROGRESS is a casual bag brand based in New York.
The phrase “in progress” means “in the process of evolving” and “continuing to update.”
Just as PCs, iPhones, and software are constantly updated, we believe that bags—among the items closest to our everyday lives—should also keep evolving in step with changes in lifestyle and what we carry.
We draw inspiration from anonymous product design and by observing the everyday bags people actually use on the New York subway and in the streets. Rather than designing for decoration’s sake, we thoroughly eliminate waste and design from function and intended use, carefully considering everything from size and pocket placement to materials and specifications.
With the aim of creating timeless products that can be used for years, we offer bags that naturally fit each user’s style, and whose convenience becomes more apparent the more they are used. Our goal is to create bags that, before you know it, become indispensable to daily life.
All items are planned and designed in New York, and are carefully produced at long-established factories in the United States and Japan.
